Hi, I'm Christine.
I'm using Agilent 16823A Logic Analyzer with its built-in pattern generator. I have set some patterns in pattern generator and use the internal clock as the clock source. And I want to view the waveform of pattern generator output on my logic analyzer, is there any way to view the pattern generator output waveform without connecting the pattern generator output back to the logic analyzer input probing pod?
I have tried to connect the pattern generator output back to logic analyzer input and I can see the waveform on my logic analyzer correctly, so I think my settings in pattern generator are ok. Just want to know if there is any method to view the pattern generator output waveform without connection.
Thank you very much!
Christine,
Unfortunately, there is no way to do what you are asking, with the LA, without external HW. You have found the only solution. It might be possible to export the PG information to CSV format, and use Excel or MATLAB to display the waveforms, but I have never tried that.
