Hello,
how do I have to process the real attenuation of my 11708A reference attenuator with 29.86dB (nominal 30dB), when I perform the ZERO/CAL routine of the power meter?
I can use the CHANNEL Offset and set it to a value of .14dB. After performing the ZERO/CAL procedure, do I have to clear this generally offset for the measurements?
Do I have to clear the offset for measurements outside of 50MHz?
Thanks and regards
Robert
Hi,
the 11708A is a precision attenuator optimized at 50 MHz only to have 30dB by design. Tolerance is 30dB ±0.05dB at 25'C with drift of 0.003dB/'C. I tested my 11708A attenuator with power meter N1913A and power probe E9301A and result was -29.982dB at 50 MHz.
I think that the 11708A does not have to be compensated or to add an offset (no label on attenuator) and I didn't find any information about that.
Regards
Yves
