"Here's another idea: how many states do you need to switch.The PNA can have a channel set to each state, and you can use the PNA "Interface Control" feature to switch the antenna just before you take a sweep. Look up "interface control" in the PNA help. With this feature, you can send either a GPIB command or set a TTL output to control something just before a sweep, and set something else just after a sweep. We use this to control some of the older switching test sets synchronous with the channel sweep. Thus, each channel gets the data for one of the switch settings. You can even set a dwell time after switching before the channel will sweep. This makes the overall control very simple, you just send one global trigger and the channels take care of the switching control. Of course, currently, you are limited to 32 channels."
