Private LAN with switch;  instruments change IP addresses

I use four instruments on a private LAN.  They are connected by ethernet to a Netgear GS105 switch, which is connected to my computer.

The IP addresses are set to default (DHCP).  Because the address changes every time I reboot the instrument, this is not very convenient.  I used to be able to access them using their netBIOS names, instead of the IP addresses.  That was very helpful.

Recently I had to unplug and move all of the equipment, including the computer, the switch and the Keysight instruments.  When I turned it all back on, the netBIOS name access no longer works.  The only way I can communicate with the instruments is with the IP addresses, which I'd prefer not to do.

How do I connect with only the netBIOS name?  There must be some setting that I've missed, something that reset when I powered everything down.
