U1232A Current Measurement causes voltage drop to device and not work?

Hi,

I am measuring the current consumption of TI CC2640R2F Launchpad which is powered by 2 AA Batteries. As is it works as expected. However when I connect the Keysight U1232A to measure current, the TI CC2640R2F Launchpad does not work and I measure the voltage using another digital multimeter and the 3.3V drops to 1.6V. How do I solve this problem?

I am certain that my Keysight U1232A current measurement connection is correct. I have tested this current measurement using 2 10K Ohm resistor in series and I get the expected current measurement. However, at my setup above it causes the board to not work.

I have done current measurement before using TI CC2640R2F Launchpad, but using a adjustable power supply and Fluke Digital Multimeter.

Regards,

Markel
