Hi,
I'm a newbie in programming remote communications... I'm working under linux with C++, the remote PC is connected to the PNA via LAN and I am already able to control the PNA via sockets. For me, what would be the advantage in using VISA instead of socket programming to control the PNA? I don't know the differences between VISA and sockets, in both cases I'm sending SCPI commands, isn't it? Or are there "VISA-own" commands to control the PNA?
Thanks for your replies!
Regards,
John
