Hi all,

I have a python program, using visa, that controls a DSO1102G.  During this routine a frequency analysis (FRAN) section is run, and the results are displayed on the scope.  I can successfully download the data without issue.

However, I've noticed that on the scope's screen there is an active 'marker' that can be moved using the scope's front panel "Entry" adjustment knob.  The marker displays the result for specific FRAN data points (on the scope screen).

DSOX1102G with FRAN output and markers/cursors.

Is there a way to adjust this marker programmatically?  The "Marker" commands do not seem to apply while the scope is in this FRAN results mode - at least with the testing that I've done so far.

The FRAN section of the programmer's manual does not include any marker entries.

Marker query after acquisition returns:

visa_io.cmd(): Sending ascii query: :MARKer?
visa_io.cmd(): Received ascii values: :MARK:X1Y1 CHAN2;X2Y2 CHAN2;MODE MEAS

send_visa_cmd: cmd: :MARKer:X1Position?
visa_io.cmd(): Sending ascii query: :MARKer:X1Position?
visa_io.cmd(): Received ascii values: -99.0000000000000E+36

The returned value always responds as -99E+36, even after I manually adjust the marker using the panel knob.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Chris
