E5052B Phase Noise measurement: Increase number of points

Question asked by agaurav on Feb 24, 2011
I want to measure Phase Noise for a signal at 150 MHz and I need the phase noise in the band 1KHz to 40 MHz. What I find is that tha maximum number of points I get is 595 points. Also, the spurious list is generates containts much less spurs than actually I can observe. Is there a way to measure phase noise at many more points. My old phase noise measurement setup gave almost 8000 frequency points and many more number of spurs (of course in sync with the visible phase noise, not some erronours spurs) for same measurements. I had to switch to E5052B because the phase noise floor of the old kit was poor at frequencies < 200 MHz.
Is there any way to do that?
