Remote error detecting

I`m using (learning) HP VEE and i`d like to create some kind of remote error detector for 8753 series NA, without Plug`n play driver, using just Direct I/O. It should detect if there`s currently any errors/cautions on the screen of VNA, so that when I press Run -button in VEE, it returns the name / number of the error, or somehow reports from it, if there currently is any. And if there`s no errors, it should tell me somehow "no errors". I tried using "OUTPERRO" -command, but it returns the oldest error. Somehow it should be possible (with OUTPERRO -command) to detect with one click, and there`s probaply some very simple solution for this, but I just cannot figure it out.

It would be great if someone knows some kind of simple solution for this.
