Can we specify different pulse types such as Trapezoidal pulse in MESG software? When we select pulse type it only has one pulse option. Doesn't it have other pulse types yet?
Will you include that option in an upcoming update?
MESG 2.0 and N5194A UXG Vector Adapter support pulse shaping. The N5193A UXG does not support pulse shaping.

I have a related question in specifying number of repeats in MESG.
I have multiple PRIs each will repeat different number of time. In that case I should I set Waveform repeats to the total PRIs.
For example in following case Waveform repeats (304025 =95 ) and I set PRIs in PRI stagger list. Am I right?
So, In this case we have to specify WAVEFORM repeats as 95. Is that right?
If we have 3-step frequency agility on top of this, what should we specify as WAVEFORM Repeats?
Should it be 3 X 95 = 285?
In that case I would expect Frequency 1 will repeat 95 PRIs and then Frequency 2 and Frequency 3 do the same in sequence. Is this correct?
If not how can we specify the parameters for that to happen?

Waveform Repeats specify how many times the item(s) in the waveform will be repeated. if you have a single pulse in the waveform and set the Waveform Repeats to 95, you will get 95 pulses out. The settings under the PRI Stagger and the Frequency Agile patterns just define the pattern to be generated. The waveform repeats allow all or part of the pattern to be generated. For your 3 step frequency agility you are correct and need 285 repeats. If you set waveform repeats to 190, you would never see pulses with the third frequency.
In your example if you replace the single pulse with a pulse doublet in the waveform, your 285 waveform repeats will result in 285 pulse doublets or 570 pulses. The Frequency or PRI pattern is applied to the pulse doublet as a single object
If you have nested waveforms
Waveform1 (Repeats = 10)
Waveform2(Repeats = 15)
You will have 150 (10 * 15) pulses generated.
The Waveform2 patterns (PRI and Frequency) will be repeated 10 times. Yes you can have waveform1 patterns applied on top of waveform1 patterns.
If you set the emitter frequency to zero Hz, you can set the frequency agility frequencies in absolute values.
The actual Output Frequency = Emitter Frequency + Mode Frequency Offset + Waveform Frequency Agility + Pulse Frequency Offset.
