Can I send 8 bytes to an IP with Agilent Vee?

Hello everything,

i am still new with Agilent Vee and that's my Problem:

We have an Photovoltaik with a Inverter. This Inverter has an Connection with Ethernet to our measuring-Computer (Inverter -> Switch -> Computer). Now there is a possibility to send a package with 8 Bytes to the inverter's IP and the Inverter will answer with 71 Bytes with all measuring-data.

As I see the normal way would be to install a Instruments Driver and then connect the Instrument with the keysight Connection Expert. But I think this will not run in this case because there is no Driver for this Inverter...ist just an Inverter

Nevertheless, we tried to connect the Inverter just with ist IP in the Connection Expert. But there is only a White cross over a red field.

Now my question:

Is there a way to "build" a 8byte Package (with different data), send it to an IP:Port an receive the answer and to part this answer in different datas?

Thank you!
