Extracting and plotting error coefficients.
Extracting and plotting error coefficients.
Thank you Daras for your reply.I will keep that in mind next time.
Now I only have access to different VNA (N5245A). Is there any way I can extract and plot error terms from those calibration files. Sincerely.
the .csa is a binary state file and in general you can not recall a state file that was generated on a different model hardware. however, you might be able to recall your .cti file in your N5245A. the gotcha in that case is if the data that you saved with your N5247A (which is 67 GHZ PNAX) had frequencies above the max frequency of your N5245A ( a 50 GHz PNAX), then the x axis for the recalled data will be off. if you just want to plot the data in your .cti or .mdf file, you are better off using ADS to do it (and if you need help with that, please post in the ADS forum).
No in your original question you asked about plotting the error coefficients. That data is in the .csa file, but as I mentioned earlier since it is a state file, you can only recall it on a similar model PNA-X. the .mdf or the .cti data files will not have the error coefficient data in them unless you had specifically somehow displayed all the error terms as traces in your N5247A before saving those data files. getting all the error term data into a single text-based data file is not something you can readily do from the front panel. it would require a script or macro that can send commands to the PNA to pull the error term data from the binary calset and write it our to a file that you can use later with a program like ADS.
Thank you Daras sir for your valuable information. This was really a great
help for me. Sincerely.

You'll have to give us a little more detail. If your question is really about how to use ADS to plot data from one of these files, then you should post it in the ADS forum (this is the VNA forum).
Also, keep in mind that when you are posting a question, you don't have to put the whole question in the title area. you can put more detail in the body of the post and just a short description in the title.
