I'm trying to get BenchVue 2017 working with my MSOS404A on a Windows 10 machine. The scope is successfully detected in Keysight Connection Expert, but when I go to launch BenchVue, the splash screen comes up... then nothing happens. I also changed the permissions to C:\ProgramData\Keysight to full access for everyone and that didn't help.
Well, I meant for you to go to Task Manager to try to restart services, not find the exe’s!
However, if you have FIPS enabled, that would definitely cause problems. We only recently discovered this issue, which is mostly relevant to government and military customers. FIPS is a federal security protocol. It can be turned off by flipping a bit in the registry if you want to try it.
1. Start up regedit
2. Navigate to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\FipsAlgorithmPolicy
3. Set Enabled = 0
4. Reboot PC
Make sure your IT person okays this if necessary. You will also need to be an administrator to do this.
