What does PSG stand for in a Signal Generator? I am assuming Pulse Signal Generator.
In general, our 3 letter identifications don't officially mean anything. I'm not exactly sure why we don't allow them to stand for anything but that's the common situation. But of course the meaning is inferred.
PSG: Performance Signal Generator (it is our highest performing sig gen); until
UXG: Ultimate Signal Generator?
we could also have the
PNA: performance network analyzer?
PSA: performance spectrum analyzer?
PXA: Extra performance Signal analyzer?
ENA: Economy Network Analyzer?
ESG: Economy Signal Generator?
MXG: Mid-range, Xtra good signal generator?
UXA: Ultimate Signal Analyzer, Xtra good?
and of course:
PNA-X: Xtra good PNA with X-parameters!?
It's just 3 letters.
