how to ground a channel in an oscilloscope? (as in 0V with no input impedence)

Question asked by jaidahmohan on Jul 30, 2017

I was wondering how I could ground a channel in an oscilloscope? (as in 0V with no input impedence). The reason I want to do this is because :

My pattern generator is generating an unwanted ghost pulse before every pattern change(eg. change from 2V to 2.5V ) that I generate. The ghost pulse disturbs my measurements. So, the only solution I could think of is sending a dummy pulse while the channel is earthed(0V), and then unearthing the channel while I send my actual pulse?

I highly doubt that this could be possible. But if anyone has any insight (or suggestions) reg. this please feel free to advice.

THanks.
