I have a collection of Short, Open, and Load measurements for a fixture using custom calibration standards. I'd like to know if it's possible to give these files to the PNA and have it process the data into a one-port calset or at least generate the error terms for me to use.
I can only find commands for loading error terms directly, not the data that is used to generate them.
Hello. There are a few different ways that could be pursued to achieve what you are asking how to do, but that set of choices does depend upon what model of PNA you have and what firmware version it is running. As you may know, you can get to the "About Network Analyzer" dialog on a PNA by hitting the 'System' hardkey then selecting 'Help' in the 'System' softkey menu and then select "About NA..." -- that dialog reports the firmware version (it's referred to there as "Application Version" number) as well as model and options, etc. If you could please post back here your model and firmware version then we could discuss here what the choices are. Also, please note that a proper calculation of your one-port calibration -- regardless of whether you are measuring the standards 'live' or whether you measured them previously and are loading-in that data -- does depend upon you having a cal kit definition loaded where the models of the standards in that kit definition do accurately describe the true response of your standards. Because of course if that was not the case, then we wouldn't need different definitions for each cal kit if we could compute an accurate calibration just from measurements of the standards. You may already be well-aware of that, but many people are not, since calibration is not a simple subject.
