Greetings,
I am running out of room on our PXAs for Windows updates despite having 80GB hard drives. When looking at the disk space from Disk Manager, I noticed there were three partitions for one hard drive. Aside from the tradition C partition, I have a D partition called Datastore (10GB) and an unmarked partition called System (30GB). Can you tell me what those two partitions are used for? I really need the disk space.
Hello Mario625!
All 3 hard drive partitions are important for the instrument to function.
Unfortunately, your only option for quickly gaining space is to clean up some personal files in the C: drive but most PXAs have a USB slot that you can utilize.
Depending on which PXA you have, you can also purchase an upgrade to an SSD to get obtain more storage.
You can check the page linked below for how to check:
What upgrade options are needed to update Windows OS, processor board, or solid state drive on PXA, MXA, EXA, or CXA? | …
On the bottom of that page, you can find the upgrade page for your instrument. The PXA one is below:
How do I upgrade my N9030B PXA Signal Analyzer? | Keysight (formerly Agilent’s Electronic Measurement)
If you choose to purchase the upgrade, the steps are below:
You first navigate to the specific instrument page, click on the "Options and Upgrades" tab on top. Pictures of an example PXA have been used.
Then click on "Post-Purchase Upgrades" on the left column,
On that tab, scroll down until you see something describing "Solid state hard drive upgrade", or press Ctrl+F and type in SSD.
