For the MSOX4000 series scopes, is it possible to program a generic math function that is based on a measurement? As an example, the scope is measuring the the frequency of a fan TACH signal on channel 1. I want to display the actual RPM by multiplying the measured frequency by 30. It would be very useful if a function of the type f(x)=Ax+B could be applied to any of the measurements on the scope.
I realize this can be done by remotely connecting to the scope and performing the calculation in external software. But that diminishes the convenience of using the scope standalone.
You can add a "Measurement Trend" math function of the frequency measurement. Then you can do an "Ax + B" math function of the lower-numbered math function that is the measurement trend.
