Our research group will soon need a new instrument able to scan and record low level currents ( <1 pA) through at least 4 individual samples at the same time. What can you recommend us?Thank you!
Best regards,Ovidiu Florea
As for the measurement itself, I recommend you check out the articles you can find by doing a web search on "pico amp current measurements". You would probably need separate calibrated sensing & amplification circuitry for each current source that would convert the signal level to a voltage level that could accurately be measured by the 34972A/34901A DMM/multiplexer.
I would like to thank you for your reply. Right now we are using a calibrated Keithley 6517A electrometer + Keithley 6521 internal scanner card and it works fine (force voltage and measure current), but for the new instrument i would like to choose Keysight B2985/Keysight B2987. Sadly, this ones don't have the option to install an internal scanner card. Are there any Keysight alternatives for the Keihley 6521/6522 low current scanner cards?
Unfortunately Keysight does not have a scanner comparable to the Keithley 6522. I am passing this on to the support engineer for the B2985/B2987. I am not familiar with these products.
