You can measure the gain in the far field region using EMPro. How "far" it radiates is dependent on your receiver; The fields will continue to travel radially, until the signal is so weak it falls below the noise floor. Still, even then it is possible to discern signals using time averaging (seen in deep space probe satellites). So, the answer is, depending on your system gain/input power (see Friis Transmission, one of the fundamental antenna design equations) it will travel as until your receiver can no longer detect it.
