For TLINP transmission line in ADS, in the component information, it is written that in practice it is better to specify either dielectric loss (TanD) or conductivity (Sigma), however, I am confused with conductivity in TLINP does this refer to the conductivity of the substrate itself, let us say that I have a dielectric so in this case can I specify both dielectric loss (TanD) and conductivity (Sigma) if I have a range of frequency ?
The documentation implies that it is best to define either Sigma or TanD, but apparently not both.
Sigma is the conductivity of the dielectric; the conductor loss is defined by the attenuation, A.
