DataLogger crashing during data aquisition

I am using the 34790A Data logger, and connecting it to a laptop with a RS-232-USB adapter. For short term data acquisition, it seems to work fine. But when I try to increase the sample rate to the maximum that is achievable by the data logger, after 11000 or so data points, software would crash with the following error:
