I'm trying to allow a user to talk to an infiniium scope (yes, I know, it's very old) over port 5025. However, portscanning doesn't show port 5025 to be open. How do I open it so I can send basic commands to the scope?
I've forgotten which OS the 54825A had, but it might be Win 95 or Win 98. You can get access to the OS by adding a keyboard, and using either the Windows Key or <CTRL>-<ESC> to get to the OS. Once you are there, you're on your own. I have long since forgotten how to open a port on older OS'es. I'm not sure what sort of commands you want a user to send to the scope, but there's no guarantee that sending them to Port 5025 will get them to the Scope App.
