Hello,
I have an N9915A FieldFox Analyzer running the latest firmware (A.08.15). I use its spectrum analyzer function to monitor various local voice communications frequencies and use the analog demod tune & listen feature frequently. As it is now, in order to configure the FieldFox to monitor a new frequency, I need to change the spectrum analyzer center frequency and then change the tune & listen frequency as a separate step. I would like to have the option to have the tune & listen frequency automatically track the center frequency of the spectrum analyzer, but I don't see an obvious way to do this.
Am I missing something, or might this feature be considered for an upcoming firmware update (hint-hint)?
Thanks,
Stan
There is currently no way to do it, as you have discovered. You do have the ability to use (Mkr>Tools) MARKER to the TuneFreq. So, if you put a marker at CenterFreq, then execute Marker to TuneFreq, the TuneFreq will move to where the marker is, which can be the center.
Either way, I have passed on your request to the software engineer in charge of the feature.

p.s. Just FYI, nearly all new future enhancements will be done based on the new CPU (CPU2), which requires the A.09.xx firmware. CPU upgrades are available as N9910HU, with a cost of ~$3200 to $5200,depending on the model of your analyzer. The new CPU also gives you a significant speed advantage, in boot-up time, mode-switching time and general sweep time, in spectrum and network analyzer mode. You also end up getting a brand new cal, as the analyzer gets recal'd after a CPU upgrade. https://www.keysight.com/find/fieldfox-sw-hw-upgrade
