I detect the signal by a differential probe 1141A, the detected signal was analyzed by MXA N9020A. Can I connect 1141A directly to N9020A? Or any other connection components are required? Because I notice that the output impedance of 1141A is 1 Mohm, and input impance of N9020A is 50 ohm.
Hello, sammycxm!
First of all, this product is discontinued but still supported. The product page is below:
1141A 200 MHz 1:1 Differential Probe [Discontinued] | Keysight (formerly Agilent’s Electronic Measurement)
On this page, it states that: "The Keysight 1141A 200 MHz Differential Probe must be used with the Keysight 1142A Probe Control and Power Module. It can be connected to any instrument with 50 ohm inputs. An external 50 ohm termination can also be used with high impedance inputs."
The words in bold are relevant to you. If you have the 1142A Probe Control and Power Module, then you are good to go with interfacing the probe with any 50 ohm instrument. If the instrument has a high input impedance, you can be terminated with a 50 ohm load. The page for the probe control and power module is below:
1142A Probe Control and Power Module [Discontinued] | Keysight (formerly Agilent’s Electronic Measurement)
Sadly, this item is discontinued and you cannot buy a new one from the website, but on that page on the right column there is a tab titled 'How to Buy or Rent'.
How to Buy or Rent: 1142A Probe Control and Power Module [Discontinued] | Keysight (formerly Agilent’s Electronic Measu…
On that page, there are points of contact for obtaining them.
Hope this helps!
