Dear all,
We are using an 86100D Infiniium DCA-X Wide-Bandwidth Oscilloscope to analyze a modulated signal. Our question is, is there any technique that can be used to estimate the bit error rate (BER) from the measured Eye Diagram or is it simply not possible?
Thank you very much in advance.

I assume this software is compatible with our model, right?

If your DCA-X does not have option ETR it can be upgraded but it is a significant hardware upgrade that must be done in a Keysight service center.
If you do not have option ETR it may be possible to get a demo unit from your Keysight field engineer. Demo units will also have the required option 200 software installed so you can see if it meets your needs before deciding on an upgrade.
You can easily check the installed options by clicking Help>About in the DCA application and checking the option list. STR is a standard unit. ETR has enhanced trigger.
