I dont know if this is the correct place to post this question.

My name is Lesley Mathews and I am a postdoc in the LCP in Dr. William Farrar’s lab. I have recently successfully conducted an Agilent Human Promoter tiling array (2X244K) for an epigenetics experiment and I am having serious issues analyzing my data. We used our scanner, GenePix 4000B (molecular devices) with software GenePix Pro 6.1 and every time we try to align out GAL (grid) file automatically the software crashes. We have manually tried to align the grid and it does not line up. After calling Agilent they suggested downloading their feature extraction software (9.5.3) and using this with our scanned file. This also crashes.

Any help would be great. I have the saved scanned slides in TIFF files. Also,

the error that comes up in the program is Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Program...ramFiles\Agilent\Microarray\FeatureExtraction\AgtFE.exe

The application requested a runtime to terminate it in a an usual way. Please contact your application's support team for more information.

The run long in the program also says error ChartFX.

Thanks,

Lesley Mathews
