I have a 34970a. I am using it to monitor a random and unknown freezer failure at nighttime. If I leave scanner on, the data overwrites by morning. Freezer is remote and may not see it for days. Roughly 10,800 points per hour collected. Next I tied power of 34970a into freezer power. When freezer shutdown so did scanner. That was good. Problem is when I connect to laptop for upload and 34970a thinks there is a new scan upon power up, it deletes the previous nights data. How can I get scan to stop and hold data till the morning? Need simple solution, I am not a programmer person.
