We have a customer with a scope that has recently begun to display the following message during self-test: Self Test Failed: Firmware Status
The firmware on the scope is 02.35.2013061800
What would cause this failure and how can it be corrected?

Re-install the instrument firmware and see if the problem goes away. The latest firmware version (2.39) has additional built-in protection and recovery tools for file system issues.
