Newbie question, I've looked, cannot find the information.
Question: Can I via a PC program read the 33500B values that the user has set? This is to combine what's happening with the 33500B with what is happening with other instruments, and all captured real-time in a SQL database. (Data sampling).
Any links would be appreciated, including prior forum threads.
Cheers and TIA,
Paul

I have the documented commands. What I cannot find, is what PC software/utility is used to issue the commands and read back.
I'm expecting some form of automation, "...via a PC program...", either one supplied by Keysight/nee Agilent, or code I would write myself using an API. (C, C++, VB, etc.)
The documentation appears to be very sparse on the topic. Is it even possible?
Any further suggestions on where I can study up on the techniques for PC-based communication with the 33500 series?
I'd hope to find some sample code, and possibly an explanation of how/when the data can be retrieved (eg. for the momentary values, or possibly logged over a period of time).
My hope is to automatically record (snapshot) values at fixed intervals, to combine the 33500 time-specific values with events being recorded from other instruments on the PC.
Thanks

The magic command which reports the current state of the instrument is *LRN?
