There is a new application note, Programming Keysight Technologies Continuous-Sweep Tunable Lasers, linked as an application note from [www.keysight.com/find/tls]. This gives an overview of the software and programming methods available for these instruments and shows in detail how wavelength sweeps can be programmed at the SCPI command level.
Attached here is a simple python script to illustrate such a program, using the VISA COM I/O to simplify reading of the binary arrays.
