"sweep time increased" in 8753ES

Hi guys,

I was trying to collect a bunch of transfer functions (S21) from the VNA 8753ES. I set it to linear sweep mode and executed the sequence in a loop. The parameters are listed below:
Start frequency: 30 KHz
Stop frequency was 6GHz
Number of points: 201
I found that “sweep time increased” was displayed on the screen. I checked the reference guide and it said that “You have made instrument changes that cause the analyzer sweep time to be automatically increased. Some parameter changes that cause an increase in sweep time are narrower IF bandwidth, an increase in the number of points, and a change in sweep type.” I would like to know how much sweep time was increased and how the number of points and frequency span affect the sweep time. What are the ranges of acceptable number of points and frequency span so that I will not obtain this error?
Thanks,
