I am using a N9340B trying to get frequency and amplitude information from trace 1 in my SA to excel using VBA. Using the command :TRACe1:DATA? is only returning the Y axis information. What is the best way to return both X & Y axis (frequency and amplitude) data from trace 1?

I am trying to do the samething as you, the difference is because I am trying to open a trace file .dat using matlab and I am not getting anything relevant but weird symbols, I know it is in binary and I have already tried to use fread in matab, but it returned values with no logic. Do you have any idea how to do that? do you know a way to convert from .dat to .csv? I can read .csv with no problems using matlab.
