It is my understanding that agilent plans to stop selling the N7800 TME software that is used for many alignments. What will most 3rd parties do for alignment?

Yes as of now the Agilent N7800A license's are going ! 3rd party labs are now at the mercy of Agilent and their service centers. Large company's that own their own equipment and small companys that own there own equipment
will be able to still get a seat license for the N7800A that will support all their equipment. So the problem is alignment routines , For the Cal routines that is not a issue , Michael Schwartz at Cal Lab Solutions is a brilliant programmer
and will be able to accommodate the calibration world for automation . But still the issue is the alignment routines for these Agilent TMDE units such as the PSA, and PSG-C-D series . For the ESG A and B the Falcon Software will do
for alignments, yes its old and slow but it will do. The PNA have their own alignment routines built on board ( Okay ) , this will work unless Agilent changes the firmware and deletes these function on a upgrade. The ESA you can use old software
for Alignments , also the PSG series like the E8251A ect you can use old software. So basically someone has to come up with a alignment suite to accommodate all the 3rd party labs out there for alignments. Will Agilent give in and keep the N7800A
software available ? Will they design and provide a new platform ? Will they realize the money that they will loose ? How many labs have put a stop to buying TMDE standards from Agilent because of this N7800A Fiasco ? I have !
From what I have gathered its not the support groups fault at Agilent, they where blind sided and they are on our side. So labs voice your outrage to Agilent on this issue and lets get it resolved . PS : ( Sorry about my grammar errors)
