Hi Experts,
I am trying to simulate a mini-circuit component (MSWT-4-20+) which does not have a built in model already on Genesys. It's an 8 pin part however only 4 of the ports are RF ports which has S-parameter data associated. I created a 8 port device from the Linear tool bar. And I loaded the 4 port s-parameter file provided on the vendor website into the part model.
My question is how does Genesys know which ports are the RF ports because the number of pins(8) of the chip does not match with the number of s-parameter ports(4).
If this is not the way to do what I want to accomplish, what should I do otherwise?

If you are performing a linear simulation you can ignore the control pins - you only need to consider the 4 port s parameters. I have put this into a worksheet for you to show you how to use manufactures S parameters files.
You will need to match the port numbers with the data sheet to make sure the rest of you circuit is connected to the correct port.
