33521B Frequency List - Phase Continuity When Stepping Through the List

Question asked by aarong on Apr 9, 2014
I have a 33521B that I use in list mode to output sine waves. I would like to know if there is a phase difference introduced between two frequencies when stepping through the list. In other words, what is the phase difference between f_i and f_i+1 at the time the change between frequencies occurs? I have looked at the signal on a scope, and as far as I can tell the two phases are equal.

I also externally trigger the frequency list. I have noticed that there is ~360ns delay between the trigger pulse and when the frequency change occurs. Is there a known value for this delay? What is the time jitter for this delay? I have read the manual, and haven't found anything describing this delay.

Thanks.
