*Quick question.*
Are the attenuators on the 85053B verification kit precision slotless?

*Background for wanting to know.*
I was looking to buy an 85053B 3.5 mm verification kit on eBay, but they are pretty damm expensive. I found an 85053B kit with the attenuators missing for $180, and also purchased an 85053A which has the same part numbers for the attenuators. So my plan was to

* Use the box and airlines from the 85053B
* Remove the attenuators from the 85053A
* Send the combination of parts, which will give me a complete 85053B  to Agilent for calibration.

According to the HP/Agilent manuals, the attenuators in the 85053A and B are the same part numbers:

* 85053-60001 (20 dB)
* 85053-60002 (40 dB)

I was a bit surprised the attenuators in the 85053A kit are not precision slot-less devices, but have 4 slots. Is that normal? I would have thought given the purpose of a verification kit it would have been made as accurate as possible, and so use slotless devices.
