Hi All,
I've got really confused with this...
I've designed a distributed amplifier with following data using N-MOS (L=0.18um and W=10um) :
fc = 12 GHz , Z0= 50
Then simulate the circuit in ADS , It's cut-off frequency works properly but It's Gain is 0 until 12 GHz!
I've attached two pictures :
1- The schematic of the circuit in ADS
2- The S31 ( means gain, because port 1 is input and port 3 is output)
I've attached the ADS project as well .
Anyone have any experience about distributed amplifier and this problem?

1. Do you really mean to have the DC Block on port 1 and none on any other port? Just hanging the 50 Ohm Terms there will load the DC voltage sources.
2. Please check the calculations for Pd, Ps, Ad and As. Are these really the same for drain and source? The PDrain1 value surely should have a 2*W term and not just W term. Also do for ADrain1 and PDrain1 you really mean 3.6e-7 um and 7.2e-7 um (i.e. 3.6e-13 and 7.2e-13) respectively? Should these be just 3.6e-7 and 7.2e-7 or 0.36 um and 0.72 um? Looks like you are assigning the um/e-6 multiplier twice.
