E5061A Measurements and Calibration

Hello all,

I'm just starting to work with VNA's so excuse my ignorance :).

I've fabricated some MEMS resonators and I would like to measure their frequency response. I currently have 9 designs operating at 1MHz, 5MHz, 10MHz, 20MHz and 30MHz.

We have a E5061A VNA in my lab, but the PhD's who used it, graduated a long time ago. I've been trying to answer the following questions for a while now but I'm still not 100% sure I'm doing everything right.

1) The VNA has 2 N-type ports. But the device I'm planning to connect it to has SMA ports. Would an adapter like this "http://www.digikey.ca/product-detail/en/242113/ACX1341-ND/1012018" do the job?

2) The device would have an output in the 10's of pA, would the analyzer be able to detect such a low current?

3) Finally, would I need to calibrate the VNA before I make the measurements? We don't have a calibrating kit in the lab but I could borrow the following one: "Agilent N4691B 300kHz-26.5GHz 3.50mm Ecal Module" Is it compatible with the E5061A?

If anyone would advise me on this I would really appreciate it.
