Hi users,
I am having trouble with the hardware related with the option B1X.
It seems that the available bandwidth is only 40 MHz as opposed to 140 MHz.
I am having trouble with the hardware related with the option B1X.
It seems that the available bandwidth is only 40 MHz as opposed to 140 MHz.
Tell us more about your situation.
What buttons did you press to determine that you cannot access the 140 MHz BW path?
My guess is: Mode, I/Q analyzer, Mode Setup, IF Path, and you see softkeys for 10 MHz, 25 MHz and 40 MHz, but no 140 MHz softkey?
Did you just install (retrofit) the option B1X hardware, and install the license file, and now you cannot see the 140 MHz BW path in the I/Q analyzer mode?
Or did the instrument already have the B1X installed, and it was once working, but now something broke?
Do you see auto alignment failures, “Align Now All Required” message on screen after power cycle?
Did the problem appear after you upgraded the instrument software?
Do this:
Press System, Show System. Under options, do you see a listing for N9030A-B1X that looks exactly like:
N9030A-B1X Analysis bandwidth, 140 MHz yes/no ? This proves that the B1X licensing is present and the instrument SW supports the B1X.
Press: System, Show, Hardware.
Do you see a listing for both? :
WB Analog IF N902060044 79xxxxx ….. ………
WB Digital If N902060047 79xxxxx …. ……….
This will prove that the instrument can ID the option B1X wideband hardware.
And finally, send us the instrument serial number and software version from the System, Show, System screen.
Regards -
