While writing a program that needed to set the source for FM, Int1 or Ext1, initially when using IVI I noticed that I couldn't change the source. This was either in my program or in the Agilent Command Expert. Eventually I found that if the modulation was on, I could change the source, but if the modulation was off, I couldn't change the source.
I then ran the scpi command, such as ":FM1:SOUR INT1" to change the source, using the IO Libraries interactive control. For this direct IO it didn't matter what the state of the modulation was. Also, I could change the FM deviation whether the modulation was on or off.
Is this the expected behavior?
