I am trying to use the time-gating function on PXA N9030A. It seems that when you go into the GATE view, there is a blue line called MIN FAST that is defined as the minimum amount of time it takes for the GATE to be enabled after a trigger event. Looking at the display, this works out to about 200 us.  I tried changing RBW but that does not seem to affect the MIN FAST.

However if you just do a normal TRIGGER + SWEEP, according to this, it seems the minimum you can get is 3.353 us.

I will be using both in zero-span. Can someone tell me why there is such a huge timing delay between the two methods?
