Question asked by VRFuser on Oct 17, 2006
Use the following 2 lines in a formula box with a as the input:

a[*,0]=a[*,0]/1e6;
a

Divide the first column by 1e6, then output the entire array as the result.

Hope this helps,

Subject: [vrf] math operation in 2D array

Hello all,
             Is there a command that I’m missing that I can use to only perform on a single column in a 2D array and still keep the 2D array intact.  For example I have a 2D array with 140 rows and 2 columns,  I would like to only change the 1st column and divide it by 1E6.  When using the command ary[*,0]/1E6 the result is a 1D array.  I would like to keep the 2nd column of data intact.  Was wondering is there is a simple command vs. re-creating the 2D array.
