Can I use 85055A (type N) Verification Kit, with 85032B cal kit?

I've got

* 85055A type N verification kit (current Agilent product, but mine is an old HP one)
* 8720D VNA (obsolete model)
* 85032B type N calibration kit (obsolete model).

Can this lot be used to verify the calibration of the VNA? The current Agilent manual for the 85055A verification kit says to use the short standard from the high priced 18 GHz 85054B cal kit, but I don't have one of them.

Does it matter what short is used, as long as the short used for the calibration is the same as the short used during verification?

Would buying a short from an 85054B cal kit allow me to verify the calibration with the older 85032B cal kit, without me purchasing the complete 85054B cal kit, which is well behond my budget?
