Hi,
I have a N4693A Ecal module, an E8364B PNA, and a 8722D VNA with the 85097B interface kit. Is it possible to leave each analyzer connected to the ecal module since they use different connectors? Or would it be best to disconnect the ecal module when not in frequent use and just connect each analyzer when necessary?
Thanks,
Kent

The data lines that go to the various eCal switches go through a multiplexer; essentially an 8P2T switch. The position of this switch determines whether the data comes from the USB circuitry or the parallel port lines. The position of this switch is determined by the power supply source. I am not sure which position wins out if both are connected.
In any case, since you can't use it with both instruments when both are connected to it, there is no reason to connect it to both simultaneously.
