Hello,
When attempting to use the 34401A Multimeter to messure DC currents on the order of 70mA we noted that there is a drop of up to 7mA between measurments preformed when Multimeter display is manually set to Amper range compared to when the display is in mA range (either autorange or manually set). When the multimeter is removed from the setup the power supply's internal ampermeter shows values matching those shown by the multimeter when in Amper range.
As this problem was observed with multiple equipment sets it does not seem likely that it is a problem with faulty equipment.
Does anyone have a suggestion as to the cause of this problem or how to fix it?
Thanks in advance
