Do most/all HP VNAs support the "IDN?" GPIB command to identify themselves?

I'm in a process of writing some code to grab data from my HP8720D VNA (50 MHz to 20 GHz).

But I have also bought an 8753A (300 kHz to 3  GHz) which is not here yet.

It would make sence to get the same software to work with both VNAs, as I suspect there is a fair amount of overlap in comands. I was going to write the program so the user had to specify the VNA so the software would know what commands were supported. But *if* most or all of the HP VNAs support "IDN?", that is a bit pointless, as I can read the type of VNA. Then it should work with most of the older (and perhaps newer) instruments.
