Dear,

Due to the application, I want to measure the real time *S-parameter of the two ports of PA*.
The schematic is sketched in the attachment.

The instrument I use is PNA-X N5247A, the options I have is as following:
-----
Options             Details
N5247A-400     4 ports, dual source
N5247A-419     Add extended power range and bias-tees to 4 port analyzer
N5247A-423     Add internal combiner and mechanical switches to 4-port analyzer
N5247A-080     Frequency offset measurements
N5247A-460     Integrated true-mode stimulus application
N4697F             Flexible Cable Set, 1.85 mm
N4694A              N4694A Electronic Calibration Module, 10 MHz to 67 GHz, 1.85 mm, 2-port
N4691B             Electronic Calibration Module, 300 kHz to 26.5 GHz, 3.5 mm, 2-port

My questions are as following:
1. If I want to still use the calibration set of PNA-X, can I replace the directional couplers *inside the PNA-X* with the *external* directional couplers?
2. If I could bypass the inside directional couplers, is the calibration routine need to be rewritten?
3. Can I ask normally how long the calibrating routine rewriting will take? Days, weeks or even more?
4. Are there any application notes or documents about the rewriting of calibrating routine?
