Analyze Distribution Profiles to Quickly Optimize Battery Run Time

Comparing before/after current drain events and activities as a result of design changes can be tedious and error-prone if one is visually scrolling through large current profile data files. A better way is to look at statistical distributions of the current drain which effectively provides a visual summary of the overall current drain characteristics. Agilent Technologies provides a one box solution that can power a wireless device, capture total current activity and display a CCDF curve. Analyzing the before/after shape of the curve allows design changes to be characterized quickly.
