vrf Select Case?

Question asked by VRFuser on Apr 17, 2008
I presume your using .Net type data from Excel, and from memory it needs to have a “.value” at the end of the cell reference to get the result of the formula.

Thanks

I could use the Triadic operator but it would get very long if there's a lot of cases, hence the usefulness of some sort of select case statement.

Another issue is with excel, i have an excel sheet which i need to get data from, thing is the getdata block returns the equation in the cell ("=A4*b4" for example) rather than the actual result. I would use the evaluatecellformula block but it only works on a single cell and not a range of cells.

Hi Jacob -

Can use the Triadic (sp?) operator  ->   (Test ? True clause: False clause) which can be used like  (Today == GoodDay ? Smile : Frown )

[vrf] Select Case?

Hi VRF

I like using formula boxes for a lot of things but I find that I want to use something like a "select case" or "switch" type of statement, is there support for this or would I have to resort to using the if/then/else box?
